A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. Related technologies such as localStorage do the same job with different mechanics. This policy covers both, because the practical question is the same: what is being stored, by whom, and why.
Google Analytics on this site runs in Consent Mode v2 with every storage category defaulted to denied. That means on your first visit, before you touch the banner, no analytics cookie is written and no identifiable measurement is stored.
If you click Accept, consent is updated to granted and analytics cookies begin to be set. If you click Decline, they stay denied. Either way we store one first-party value locally so we do not ask again on every page. Declining does not reduce any functionality on this site.

A small number of pages embed a live preview of a site we built, served from another domain inside an iframe. That embedded site may set its own storage under its own domain, governed by its own policy, not this one. We do not read anything from those frames and no data is passed between them and this site.
Independent of the control on this page, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for individual sites or globally, usually under Settings, then Privacy and security. Blocking all cookies will break sign-in on most sites you use, though it will not break anything here. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on.
